What the Jobs page is for

The Jobs page is the operational hub for live work. It takes the commercial detail from the quote and turns it into a delivery record that the office and field team can both use.

  • Edit job details, products, services, and contract links.
  • Create supplier and warehouse stock orders.
  • Book field workers onto the job and push work to schedules.
  • Add forms, files, notes, expenses, and payment activity.
  • Complete the work and move the record into invoice status.

Managing the live job

Most day-to-day changes happen here after the job has been created.

  • Update contact details, site addresses, and scope information when the job changes.
  • Add, edit, or remove product and service lines while keeping totals current.
  • Link the job to a contract if it belongs under an ongoing agreement.
  • Record customer approval when a scope or product change needs sign-off.
  • Use forms to capture checks that need to happen before, during, or after the visit.

Orders, bookings, stock, and costs

The Jobs page ties together delivery, inventory, and costing so every part of the work stays in one record.

  • Create purchase orders for items that need to be sourced from third-party suppliers.
  • Create warehouse orders for internal stock that must be picked and delivered or collected.
  • Create field worker bookings with dates, times, workers, teams, or contractors.
  • Send appointment confirmations to customers and surface bookings in the mobile app.
  • Add expenses with tax, totals, and supporting receipts so profit and loss stays current.
  • Transfer unused stock back to a vehicle or warehouse when the job does not consume everything issued to it.

Completing the job and handing over to invoices

Finishing the job cleanly makes invoicing and reporting much easier.

  1. Check that outstanding bookings have been closed or completed.
  2. Review unused stock and return it to the correct vehicle or warehouse location where possible.
  3. Confirm expenses, files, notes, forms, and timesheets are up to date.
  4. Complete the job so it moves into invoice status for billing.
  5. Open the resulting invoice record to handle payment, credits, refunds, and accounting sync.
